Summer Instrumental Music Camp

Event takes place June 8 - June 10, 2026

The ENMU Music Department proudly offers the Eastern New Mexico University Instrumental Band Camp. The camp will be held in the Music Building on the ENMU Campus, and registration is open to current 8th-12th grade students.

During the three-day camp, held June 8 - June 10, 2026, you will attend daily band rehearsals, learn from faculty during small group instruction on your instrument, and participate in a Closing Concert open to the public at 4 p.m. on June 10. Lunch for all three days is included as part of your camp payment. We are now offering campus housing.

To register, complete the following three steps:

  1. Complete the online Summer Band Camp Application below.
  2. Fill out the Medical Waiver Form below. Email your completed form to [email protected] or mail the form to ENMU Department of Music Office, Station 16, 1500 S Ave K, Portales, NM 88130.
  3. Submit your $75 non-refundable camp fee. Fees are due by June 3, 2026. Cash, check, or credit card payments are accepted.  Payments can be made by calling 575.562.2377, visiting the ENMU Department of Music Office, or by sending a check (marked with the student’s name and “ENMU Summer Band Camp” on the memo line to:  ENMU Department of Music Office, Station 16, 1500 S Ave K, Portales, NM 88130.

11:00-11:50 a.m. Full Band Rehearsal
Noon-1:00 p.m. Lunch
1:00-2:00 p.m. Camp Instructional Topic Session
2:10-2:50 p.m. Fundamentals, All-State Prep, and Instrument Specific Topics
3:00-4:00 p.m. Full-Band Rehearsal
4:00 p.m. End of Camp Day or Closing Concert on Final Day of Camp
