Summer Instrumental Music Camp

Event takes place June 8 - June 10, 2026

The ENMU Music Department proudly offers the Eastern New Mexico University Instrumental Band Camp. The camp will be held in the Music Building on the ENMU Campus, and registration is open to current 8th-12th grade students.

During the three-day camp, held June 8–10, 2026, you will attend daily band rehearsals, learn from faculty during small group instruction on your instrument, and participate in a Closing Concert open to the public at 4 p.m. on June 10. Lunch for all three days is included as part of your camp payment. We are now offering campus housing ($250 total cost with included room and $150 total cost without included room. All rooms are double occupancy unless case-by-case arrangements are made). Selection to be made in the form below.

We are now excited to offer housing for campers! For commuters, lunch will be provided Monday-Wednesday. For those electing to stay in a campus dorm, breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided Monday and Tuesday, and breakfast and lunch will be provided Wednesday. Dorm check-in is Sunday evening and check-out is Wednesday. Evening activities and dorm stays will be supervised by ENMU camp counselors. Further details on housing will be emailed after registration. All rooms are double occupancy unless case-by-case arrangements are made). Selections are made in the form below.

To register, complete the following three steps:

  1. Complete the online Summer Band Camp Application below.
  2. Fill out the Medical Waiver Form below. Email your completed form to [email protected] or mail the form to ENMU Department of Music Office, Station 16, 1500 S Ave K, Portales, NM 88130.
  3. Submit your non-refundable camp fee, $150 for Day Camp or $250 for Residential Overnight Camp. All Camp fees are due June 3, 2026. Cash, check, or credit card payments are accepted. Payments can be made by calling 575.562.2377, visiting the ENMU Department of Music Office, or by mailing a check. Checks need to be marked with the student’s name and “ENMU Summer Band Camp” on the memo line and mailed to: ENMU Department of Music Office, Station 16, 1500 S Ave K, Portales, NM 88130.
