Minor in Technical and Professional Communication (18 hours)

The Technical and Professional Communication minor prepares students for opportunities and flexibility in numerous fields by building proficiencies in areas such as report writing, design, grant writing, technical writing, editing, ethical communication practices, and more. Such skills may be especially suited for students in science, technology, business, social work, communications, and any field that expects effective communication. Students will develop skills in line with the writing expectations in their field, including the ability to design effective written, visual, and oral communication; analyze and compose in various professional writing genres; write for clarity and conciseness; and much more.

Students majoring in any field, including English, may minor in Technical and Professional Communication.
