MediaCon is ENMU’s annual media conference designed for high school and college students interested in careers in media and communication.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Talk directly with media professionals about career paths in journalism, media production, and public relations
- Network with students, educators, and professionals from across New Mexico and nearby Texas
- Learn how students build professional skills through hands-on experiences
- Meet ENMU students involved in student media organizations and the broadcast center
Conference Overview
MediaCon 2026 will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (MT) at ENMU Communication Building and Becky Sharp Auditorium (College of Business). The conference includes:
- Panel discussions with media and communication professionals
- Networking time for students and educators
- Interactive sessions led by ENMU student media organizations:
- The Chase (online newspaper)
- Houndbytes (online magazine)
- Houndwave (radio & podcasting)
- KENW (broadcast center)
While visiting ENMU, participants will also have the chance to meet the Department of Communication faculty and experience the ENMU campus community.
MediaCon offers a unique opportunity to explore media careers, gain practical insight, and make meaningful connections — all in one day. We hope to see you at ENMU on March 24, 2026!
