The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences PFP concentration is designed for you if you are working in or would like to work in the areas of financial planning, accounting, insurance, or banking and investment. A financial planner is much more than just an investor. A financial planner should be familiar with budgeting, planning for retirement, saving for education, managing taxes and managing insurance coverage.
The extensive PFP curriculum helps you understand the complexities of the changing financial climate, and allows you to make the right recommendations to your perspective clients. Once you complete this program, you will be able to sit for the Certified Financial Planning® examination.
Before you can take PFP 410, the capstone course, you must complete the six 300-level courses. The PFP 300-level courses do not have to be taken in sequence. All courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or higher
Do I Qualify for This BAAS Program?
Our Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science Personal Financial Planning Concentration will help you use your prior academic experience to complete your bachelor's degree.
You can enter our BAAS Program to earn your first bachelor's degree. To qualify you must have one of the following:
- Have an Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree from an institution with accreditation recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) OR
- Have earned at least 30 credit hours in a career-technical related discipline from an institution with accreditation recognized by the CHEA

BAAS Concentration: Personal Financial Planning
The BAAS program requires you to complete 120 hours to earn your bachelor's degree. Within those 120 hours, you must complete General Education Requirements, a primary concentration and a secondary concentration.
