Join us this fall for the Agriculture, Food Science, and Kinesiology (AFSK) Turkey Trot, a festive community tradition filled with fun, fitness, and giving back! Whether you want to run, walk, or simply enjoy the holiday spirit, this event is for you. Bring your running shoes, your family, and your holiday spirit—and let’s trot together for a great cause!

Why Join the Turkey Trot?

  • Get Active: Choose between a 1.5-mile Family Fun Walk or the 5K Run—complete with awards for top finishers.
  • Celebrate Together: Enjoy arts and crafts, educational and entertainment stalls, and a possible dog rescue!
  • Support a Cause: All proceeds benefit the ENMU Food Pantry, helping fight food insecurity for students and families in our community. We’ll also be collecting non-perishable food and pet food donations.

Who Can Participate?

ENMU students, faculty, alumni, and families from Portales, Clovis, and surrounding areas. We also welcome all community members who want to walk, run, or cheer!

Event Impact

By lacing up your shoes and joining the Turkey Trot, you’ll be:

  • Promoting health and wellness in our community.
  • Building school spirit across the campus and beyond.
  • Helping us reach our fundraising goal of $1,000–$2,500 for the ENMU Food Pantry.

  • Prominent Logo on T-shirts: Large logo on 50–100 T-shirts worn by participants and volunteers.
  • Finish Line Banner: Large logo on 4’x6’ banner at the Agriculture Building.
  • Booth Space: Dedicated booth to showcase your business and engage attendees.
  • Exclusive Course Sign: Logo on one 18”x24” sign at a high-traffic area (e.g., start line or registration).
  • Social Media & Remarks: Verbal acknowledgment during opening remarks and shout-outs on ENMU social media channels.

  • Swag Bag Contribution: Opportunity to include branded merchandise (e.g., coupons, pens) in participant bags.

Community Sponsor ($250–$499)

  • Logo on T-shirts: Small logo on T-shirts (shared placement with other sponsors).
