Program of Study
Students specifically interested in teaching English at the secondary level can major in English with Secondary Licensure at Eastern New Mexico University. An English major's time frame for degree completion varies with the individual student, but can be attained in four years. Students interested in this degree can choose two paths: a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Art. The BA degree requires two years of a language. Studying another language improves students' understanding of grammar; thus we strongly encourage the Bachelor of Arts.
