Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Emphasis in Pre-Med

Through the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with an emphasis in pre-medicine, you will complete all the prerequisites necessary for admission to medical, dental, pharmacy, osteopathic, chiropractic and optometry schools, while gaining a strong background in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, mathematics and physics.

Hands-On Learning in Pre-Medicine

As a chemistry major at ENMU, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in faculty-mentored research projects, which often lead to peer-reviewed publications and/or presentation at local/regional/national scientific meetings. Several programs are available for additional travel to and training at national laboratories, research institutes and Ph.D. granting schools.

Chemistry students at ENMU have the unique opportunity as undergraduates to use modern scientific instruments. Additionally, paid positions working on campus in the labs and participating in research projects are available.
