Online Master of Education Degree in Pedagogy and Learning

The Master of Education in Pedagogy and Learning allows flexibility of curriculum if you wish to pursue a curriculum and instruction master's degree with two areas of study. In order to earn this degree, you choose a 15-hour emphasis and then 12 hours from a second concentration area. Allowable concentration areas are listed below.

Learning Format For Pedagogy and Learning Graduate Degree Coursework

Our graduate degree in pedagogy and learning is designed to be completed 100% online. You'll complete readings, assignments and discussions on Canvas, individual projects and presentations, quizzes and tests throughout the semester. Recorded lectures via Mediasite will connect you with professors and other students on your own time. In all classes except BLED 578, your participation, using Canvas and other resources like YouTube and Collaborate, related to recorded lectures can be done at your convenience, rather than during a specific time. BLED 578 is a synchronous class and needs to be completed at the offered time. If this requirement is standing in the way of starting this program, please apply anyway and reach out to our department. We are happy to work with you if you have extenuating circumstances. This program requires passing comprehensive exams. Comprehensive exams are offered once during each fall and spring semester. If you are outside of Portales, contact our department for more information on taking your comprehensives exams from your location.

We want to make sure you get the support you need. We offer flexible tutoring services, including the ENMU Writing Center which is available to help you improve your writing and help you clearly communicate for written, school-related projects and assignments.

We also have online databases, journal articles and eBooks accessible through the Golden Library. ENMU librarians are available virtually, via phone and email to provide assistance, so you'll always have the help you need to take advantage of library resources.

Affordable Pedagogy and Learning Master's

Eastern New Mexico University has the second lowest bachelor's and master's-level tuition in the state of New Mexico, and has one of the most affordable graduate tuition rates in the United States. If you are an out-of-state student enrolling in 6 or fewer hours per semester, you'll pay tuition and fees at the low in-state rate. Eligible students may apply for the TEACH grant or other scholarships through the ENMU Foundation. Graduate Assistantships are also available through application to the ENMU Graduate School.
