Greyhound Guide Chapter 6

Living on Campus

Chapter 6: Living on Campus

Points to Ponder: As a student, you need a safe environment that gives you privacy, quiet time and a place to keep your stuff. You also need a place where you can feel comfortable hanging out with your friends, listening to music or doing whatever it is you do to relax. You will find just the environment you need in one of our three residence halls.

Home, Sweet Hall: You'll get the most out of your college experience by living on campus, as our residence halls offer plenty of activities. They're more than just a place to live, you'll learn to live independently and make lifelong friends.

You can find a lot of great information about living on campus in the Campus Living Guide. The information in this handbook is intended to help you succeed. Part of being a responsible member of a community is to be aware of your rights and responsibilities. It will be useful for you to read through this guide and keep it as a reference.

The Eastern Touch: We're proud of the open, friendly atmosphere in our residence halls. Resident assistants and upperclassmen, who are knowledgeable about Eastern life, live on every floor and provide guidance and advice.

With Eastern's meal plan, you have access to the Crossroads Café Dining Hall where you can eat at any time during the day and choose from four different meal plans. The Crossroads Café Dining Hall has a food court where you can find whatever you need to satisfy your cravings. Regular menu items include pizza, Mexican food, sandwiches, salads, international cuisine, hamburgers and fries, salads and much more.

Did You Know? Turning in your housing application–which is available online –will allow you to reserve space in the residence halls. The earlier you submit your application, the earlier you'll get your room assignment and information about your roommate!
