3 Ways to Try Something New at the Dining Hall

If you are a freshman at ENMU, the Crossroads Café Dining Hall in the Campus Union (CUB) will be your best friend. Why? You have a meal plan!

Your parents are not going to send you extra money to eat out in the third week of school, so you need to take advantage of your meal plan. There are plenty of options to choose from to keep things fresh. Here are some ways to mix it up:

Tip #1: Try New Things

People tend to stick to the same foods like hamburgers, pizza, hot dogs and maybe even pasta. Try something new from all of the stations. The CUB has great chefs that put their own spin on things.

Tip #2: Join in the Festivities

Those meals that the CUB puts out for certain holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and even the tailgating meal can definitely come in clutch. Also, join the fun events when students get to race to eat food for a prize; that's more food and less judgement!

Tip #3: Be Creative

You would be surprised what you come up with after getting bored with your options. Brace yourselves for this one. Order a fried chicken patty from the burger line, take it to the sandwich line and ask for mozzarella cheese, then take it to the pasta line and ask for marina sauce and two pieces of garlic bread. You know what you have there? Chicken parmesan sandwich to go!
