"I'm excited to join the athletic department staff," said Edwards. "I think it's a great opportunity and I look forward to putting out a great product for Eastern New Mexico. I want to thank the search committee and Dr. Waggoner for giving me this opportunity."

"We are happy to have Will join our Greyhound team and excited to get him on board," said Waggoner. "His skill set will enable us to address the ongoing needs and our most compelling new needs as we get ready to open the new Greyhound Stadium with the video board. Will comes to us with very solid experience, skills sets and recommendations."

Aside from the video board, Edwards will work in conjunction with director of athletic communications Adam Pitterman, to provide quality coverage to all of Eastern's athletic programs. He recently served as a media contact for the Sugar Land Skeeters, where he handled production of game notes, press releases, and managed social media.

While at the University of Memphis, Edwards's volleyball media guide finished second in CoSIDA's publications contest. He also served as the contact for baseball, women's tennis and men's golf in addition to the department's social media accounts. At Texas A&M University, Edwards was the media contact for the men's tennis team, and handled press releases, statistics, player biographies, and all game-day activities.

Edwards' other experiences included baseball tournaments with the Southeastern and Big 12 conferences. He also interned at Midwestern State, where he assisted with player biographies and media guides.
