Students Attend Professional Development Dinner

prof dinnerMoodie has spoken at The White House and TEDx events and has been featured in Forbes Magazine, USA Today and many other prestigious publications.

Students were given valuable skills that will make success more likely after graduation.

"Arel spoke about so many important interview skills and professional mannerisms that are going to be very helpful," said student Kait Roberts. "The presentation was definitely something that ENMU students brought something home from."

This was Moodie's third speaking engagement at ENMU.

The first 100 students at the door received a free copy of Moodie's newest book "The Art of Likability Interview Manual."

To conclude the presentation, students asked questions about interviewing for jobs after graduation, what to do while still in college and internships.

Brooke Williams, a senior who posed a question about an internship, said that Moodie's advice was helpful.

"He answered my question in a simple way and provided an example," Williams said. "This was very helpful and I took his advice right away."

Draco Miller, Director of of Campus Life, noted the importance of professional development to a student’s success.

"Professional Development for the students of ENMU is vital to their overall success as a soon-to-be professional in the 'real world,'" Miller said. "Students had the opportunity to add another success tool to their toolbox."

Over 300 students attended and many stayed afterward to ask questions.

"The success of the event was showcased through those who attended. Over 300 students attended as well several administrators, including Dr. Gamble," Miller said. "We were honored to have an amazing keynote speaker in Mr. Arel Moodie."
