PORTALES, NM – March 25, 2022– At the ENMU Board of Regents Meeting on Friday, March 25, 2022 the ENMU Board of Regents announced a national search will be conducted for the next Chancellor of the ENMU System. Currently the Board of Regents is reviewing a RFP to select a search firm to lead the national search.
The Regents announced that they are committed to a full and fair search, that is fully consistent with shared governance, assisted by a search committee made up of ENMU-Portales, ENMU-Roswell, ENMU-Ruidoso and community stakeholders.
"The goal of the Regents is to find the next best leader for the ENMU System" said ENMU Board President Lance Pyle. "We will do this in partnership with our campuses and communities."
The Board of Regents also announced at the meeting today that Dr. Patrice Caldwell, current ENMU Chancellor, will stay as ENMU Chancellor until the national search is complete and the new chancellor is in place.
