PORTALES, N.M. – September 23, 2026 – Eastern New Mexico University's Department of Theatre and Digital Filmmaking is proud to present "Clue," the beloved murder mystery based on the Paramount Pictures hit film and classic Hasbro board game. The show, scheduled for Oct. 1–3 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 4 at 2 p.m., is directed by Clara Kundin, based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn, written by Sandy Rustin with additional material by Hunter Foster and Eric Price, and original music by Michael Holland.
It’s a dark and stormy night, and our cast of oddball characters has been invited to a very unusual dinner party. Each guest has an alias; the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well, dead. Join the iconic oddballs known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock, and Mustard as they race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up. Based on the cult classic film and the popular board game, Clue is a madcap comedy that will keep you guessing until the final twist. The show is appropriate for ages 12 and up.
"The cast and crew have been hard at work creating these zany characters and building the secret passages of Boddy Manor," said director Clara Kundin. "Whether you loved the movie or grew up playing the game, this show is sure to make you laugh."
The production opens on Oct. 1 and continues throughout the weekend in the University Theatre Center (UTC) Mainstage Theatre.
