The Chase
Since Oct. 5th, 1934, The Chase has delivered well-researched, truthful reporting focused on student life, the local community, and investigative journalism. As a student-run newspaper, we provide hands-on experience for aspiring journalists, designers, and photographers.

El Portal
Since 1939, ENMU's El Portal has showcased original work from writers, artists, and photographers. Open to students and international contributors, it features fiction, nonfiction, poetry, art, and photography, published biannually
90 Years of Student Success 1934-2024
Eastern New Mexico University, the youngest state university in New Mexico, has grown significantly since its founding in 1934. What began as Eastern New Mexico Normal School with just 165 students and 36 courses has blossomed into a world-class institution. By 1955, the university was officially renamed Eastern New Mexico University to reflect its expanding role in higher education.
Today, ENMU is renowned for its highly respected programs in education, business, communications, fine arts, sciences, and health professions.
